I'm Monika, a Keeper who loves horror and whimsical adventures.
I started playing ttrpgs about 5 years ago. I fell in love with Call of Cthulhu, I had no idea that ttrpgs didn’t just
have to be fantasy adventure but could be in the genre of mystery and fright! I remember being so excited that my friend
got me genuinely scared while running Blackwater Creek . Experiencing that fear and getting so invested in the
story made me want to start Keeping for my friends. For the last 2 years I have been running one-shots for my friends
and for the last 6 months I have started running Horror on the Orient Express .
I love creating a stage with music and acting as the NPCS with props and voices for players to become as invested into
the world as I am. I usually run games that start off light and happy, perhaps even comedic, then halfway I have a scene
tied to the beat of a song to switch into the genre of horror.
What's your favorite aspect of Lovecraftian lore?
Wow, what a great question you ask! The Dreamlands! They are a beautiful magical place. A shared realm where those with a strong enough will can create anything their heart desires. Everyones subconscious thoughts all blending into an amalgamation of odd symbolism that our waking selfs could only, well, dream of. It creates a fantastic play room for Keepers and Players to truly embrace their inner child and explore our humanity with truly no limits nor logic. The Young Prince and the Pirates
